Sarah was born in British Columbia, Canada but raised in the stunning mountains of the Yukon Territory, where she had been riding horses since before she was born. She moved to Alberta in 1997, and married her High School sweetheart near Calgary in 2003.
Sarah and her husband moved back to B.C. where they started their family, bringing their daughter into the world in 2007 and their son a couple of years later.
Beyond Sarah's love of horses and adventure, she has a deep passion for Yoga.
Her yoga journey began in 2007, where she discovered Vinyasa flow while living in B.C. She fell in love with the intensity of vinyasa flow, and the benefits it provided her.
Sarah moved back to Alberta in 2010 and around that time began a battle with mental illness, being diagnosed with Bi-polar Disorder. Over the following years she experienced multiple health issues including a Lupus diagnosis, and a mitral valve replacement. Her biggest supporters through these difficult medical times were her family...and her Yoga practice.
In Summer 2022 Sarah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. This diagnosis rocked her world, but she knew she could beat it! Again, she had her family and her Yoga practice to lean on.
In Fall of that year Becky Stone, Sarah's Yoga mentor encouraged her to pursue her 200 hour teacher trainer, and so off to Mexico she went!
Sarah obtained her 200 hour training, and is currently working on her 300 hour upgrade. By December 2023 Sarah will have her 500 hour training completed, and her 50 hour Yin Yoga training under her belt. All while kicking Cancer's butt!
Sarah's life experiences are what fuels her passion for helping others through the healing power of Yoga. She specializes in working with people with physical and mental health issues to find balance and wellness again.
Sarah and her family currently reside near Strathmore, Alberta. Her private yoga classes serve Wheatland County and surrounding areas.
